Hey Merbabes! It is officially summer, which means its time to swap out your turtlenecks for tanks tops, and your flares for cut-offs. I'm going to take a step back for a moment and say that I love winter fashion; I love layering, wearing fur, and stomping around in boots. Whenever the warm weather (finally) hits, although I am eternally grateful for the sunshine, I tend to feel a bit lost. I never know what to wear. Its a constant struggle of wanting to look like an effortless beach-bunny while still keeping true to your unique style. I so often find myself saying "ugh so basic" every time I look in the mirror, but this only occurs during the summer. In the winter, I wear sweatpants and t-shirt then throw on a fur coat and call it fashion, but summer clothes draw out the basic in me. Being basic isn't a bad thing, but it's not my vibe. I cringe at the thought of stepping out in a "basic" outfit, which tends to make summer seem like quite the long season.

Since I am not much of a skirt or dress person these days, which is crazy because I used to solely wear skirts, I am always on the hunt for a good pant. A high-waisted, wide-leg pant is the way to go as it will give you some serious inches. My legs look miles long IMO, when in reality I'm 90% torso. I had to get these pants tailored in the waist and length but it was totally worth it for this perfect fit. Plus, getting these pants fit to my waist means my booty looks popping, always a win.
I paired these bold pants with a simple, white tank top. You could style these wide-leg pants with a button-up or sassy off-the-shoulder top. For a causal Saturday around the city a white tank was all I needed. I threw on my favorite white converse and a pair of retro inspired sunnies to seal the deal.
