Fashion Weekend: Part Two

Friday was seriously one of my favorite days in a long time. I did so much my feet have literally not yet recovered. First we started the day at By Chloe, a new vegan restaurant that has taken instagram by storm (check out my insta of my lunch @mermaidwaves), then headed off to Brooklyn for 29 Rooms.

29 Rooms was put on by Refinery 29 over the past weekend and was heaven on earth. I was so inspired by every one of the 29 rooms. Check out some photos below (and a sick video on Instagram). After 29 Rooms I got the opportunity to see Iris Apfel speak so obviously I died. She is definitely the sassiest, spunkiest, and best-dressed 94 year old on this planet.
Now onto the look, underwear as outerwear is definitely one of my go-tos trends, by pairing this bra top over a button-up it gave this top such a chic look. I always struggle to wear this top because I can't fill it out so it tends to gap and look skimpy, but with this crisp button-up I have a totally new way to wear this piece! The culotte has transitioned into the ultimate fall piece with this longer version, the perfect length for an ankle boot!
